Scope of support
Residence status follows the activity you intend to carry out in Korea. Hiring a foreign national as a skilled professional points to E-7, investing in and running a company to D-8, and overseas Korean nationals to F-4. Each status sets its own education, experience, investment, and salary requirements, and extensions or changes of status must be filed before the current permission expires. We confirm the immigration office criteria and evidence, then file on your behalf.
- E-7 — specific activity (skilled professional)
- E-6 — arts and entertainment
- F-4 overseas Korean · F-1 family visit · F-2 long-term residence · F-5 permanent residence · F-6 spouse of a Korean national
- C-3 — short-term visit
- C-4 — short-term employment
- D-10 — job seeking
- D-7 — intra-company transfer
- D-8 — corporate investment
- Performance visa
- Nationality restoration
- Permanent residence
- Extension of stay
What to confirm first
Applicable requirements and supporting evidence vary with who is applying, the type of filing, and the current public notice. We therefore confirm the facts during the consultation, assess whether you meet the requirements as they stand today, and only then settle the document list. If you fall short, we tell you what to put in place first.
Review and process
The consultation confirms your objective and the facts. We then review the applicable requirements, the evidence to submit, and the sequence, and set them out for you. Where the requirements cannot be met right away, we present the available alternatives and the time each needs. Once you agree to proceed, we prepare and file on your behalf and keep you posted on progress.
- 01 Request: Provide contact details and the basic facts that need review.
- 02 Scope review: Confirm the objective, current status, materials, and prerequisites.
- 03 Engagement: Agree the work scope and responsibilities before engagement.
- 04 Progress: Receive updates for filing, follow-up requests, and results.
This page is general guidance. It is not a legal opinion on your situation and does not guarantee an outcome. Statutes and public notices change, so please confirm the current criteria in a consultation before filing.
